Greetings and welcome to my humble site!
My name is Tor Refsland and I live in Norway.
Kaizen is a japanese word and means continuous improvement.
For several years I have been addicted (in a good and non-creepy way) to personal development.
I have been studying under many of the best teachers in the world, through books, DVDs, mp3`s, courses, seminars etc.
This has cost me a lot of money and time. But was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!
You have probably heard the saying: “You are what you eat.” This doesn`t only apply to the body, but to your mind as well.
What you feed your mind, will shape your mindset, not only the way you think, but also the way you act.
What I experienced, was that the more I invested in my mind, the more I learned, and the more I earned.
As Napoleon Hill said: “Knowledge is not power, application of knowledge is power.”
What does this mean? Acquiring new knowledge is useless, unless you apply what you learn.
Only by applying your new knowledge, will you be able to test if it really works, which again leads to experience.
New knowledge –> Apply new knowledge –> Results –> Review results –> Experience
My only regret is that I didn`t start with personal development earlier. However, you don`t know what you don`t know.
There is a saying: “When the student is ready, the master will appear”.
So question number one from the topic has now been answered. Let`s continue.
Then over to the one million dollar question:
If I gave you a magic wand (and some magic dust), and told you that you could wave the wand and your wishes would come true.
Would you have waved the wand?
If you tell me no to that question, your nose will probably start growing instantly 😉
I have to admit that I have both good and bad news for you. Which one would you like to hear first?
Well, what the heck, I will just give you the bad news first…
The bad news is that I can`t do magic and I don`t have any magic wands. (People living in Norway loses their magic abilities when they are 5 years old and have to wrestle with polar bears on their way to school).
Then there was the good news. Are you ready?
The good news is that you actually can get your dreams fulfilled. Since you don`t have a magic wand, you just have to do it like me, the hard way…
My experience is that people in general are looking for quick fixes and get rich quick schemes. They will get disappointed because it`s not possible to cheat your way to success, at least not in the long run.
The funny thing is, that if there were such things as magic wands, very few people would have waved the wands.
Why? Because people would either have too little self-confidence to go out of their comfort zone and try something new, or they would be too afraid to do it considering what other people might think about them.
That is basically why people in real life too, doesn`t pursuit their own happiness.
So one of my big hopes for this website, is that perhaps some of my experiences can help you.
I know for sure, that when I didn`t know what I know today, I sure would have given a an arm and a kidney to stumble over a site like this…
After being able to crack the code when it comes to personal development, and improving my own life, I wanted to help other people to see if the same would happen to them.
I have been mentoring and coaching other people, and there truly is no bigger reward than to help other people succeed.
After helping a lot of people with changing their mindset and improve their lives, I thought it would be great to do this on a larger scale in order to reach and help more people.
Hence, this blog.
So basically this site is for YOU.
uKaizen means YOUR continuous improvement.
Let me thank YOU for being here, and giving me the opportunity to be a part of making your dreams come true.
